Are Couples Without Kids Incomplete?

They say that a woman is complete when she gives birth to a child, is it a fact or just a protocol?

Who are “They”?

Well, in my opinion, every couple has the right to decide how they wish to lead their life. Isn’t it? Following a set rule is not what we are here for. We were born to determine our own journey and work for it.

Yes, I totally agree with couples and single mothers who are happy to have kids. They are the most beautiful things God has created. As a woman, I know and understand the importance of giving birth to a child, holding the hand of your firstborn, and embracing the feel of motherhood. But that doesn’t set a benchmark for every couple or woman.

If you love kids and are ready to take the responsibility, then go for it, but if you are not into it, then just for the sake of some set rules, don’t even think of doing it. I have seen many couples in my life who get married and start their journey of parenthood in 1 year of their wedding day. The first few months, they are happy about it, but when they realize the seriousness of the responsibility of raising a kid, it becomes a burden. Even couples start blaming their kids for hampering their career path. Now, this is just not right. They have not decided to come into your life; you have planned it.

You invited them into this world with your love, and now when there is a time to make decisions and sacrifices, the blame game begins. This is not with every couple; some feel proud to sacrifice and devote their life to their kids. And they are seriously the ones who deserve to be a parent.

On the contrary, couples who hesitate and fear to take the responsibility and know that they may not be able to give their 100% in the upbringing of a child, so they choose not to spoil someone’s life whom they have welcomed in this world. So how come they are incomplete?

In my opinion, they are the ones who are pretty responsible and take time to get ready for it first, instead of following the time game of marriage and getting pressured by the social norms. It’s better to take time than to spoil someone’s life.

Like a failed marriage may eradicate the feeling of trust and love; similarly, a failed parenthood may destroy the life of the child.

Wrapping Up

It’s not important to give birth to a child or become a parent in a hurry. What is significant is to believe in inviting a new soul into the world and giving him/her the life he/she deserves.
