COVID-19 has changed our lives completely; there were many changes that we all have experienced and still experiencing. From uncertainty, financial pressure, challenging modifications in daily routine, and social isolation, every circumstance has contributed enough to build stress, anxiety, and depression.

The continuous and never-ending fear of getting sick, losing a job, and dealing with emotional breakdown has led us to sadness and loneliness. These situations and feelings have given birth to unstable mental health. Yes, you read it right! Worsening mental health can ruin your entire career and personal life. People who failed to accept the sudden changes in life due to COVID-19 have experienced:

Stress due to social distancing

There are people who love to mingle with others and chit-chat a bit to handle the work pressure. But when they faced a sudden “Social Distance” change in life, they suffered from stress.

Even youngsters suffered a lot with this modification. Because they love socializing and it gives them the opportunity to know more about what is going on around them as well as interact with new people. But this novel disease has taken away this pleasure from youngsters. Thus, now you will be noticing more young crowds visiting counselors and psychiatrists for treatment.

Depression due to Loss of education

Among so many industries, even the education sector has faced a big hit in COVID-19. Students who desired to take education seriously and are willing to work hard for their future are now suffering from depression. Why? Because of the fear of future growth and perspectives.

It’s a fact that what you learn during school and college classes stays with you forever. They say that education never goes to waste, and it’s a reality. But COVID-19 has taken the enjoyment from students, like wearing school dress, daily polishing shoes, meeting friends and creating memories in the canteen. Thus leading to depression.

Dementia due to Quarantine and Isolation

Imagine what staying at home forever can cause you, Dementia. Yes, due to isolation, the mental state of humans got a little over the top. The situations like not being social, captured in one room, fear of getting in physical contact with anyone have raised the chances of limited social skills, forgetfulness, and hampered thinking ability. Now, this leads to Alzheimer’s, which needs proper attention and treatment.

Pandemic has not only taken the freedom of movement but has also harmed the mental health of humans. This gift of COVID-19 is hard to digest but needs proper attention and care. So if you or your close ones are fighting mental issues, please do not hesitate to get the right treatment at the right time for them.
